Donovan Rolle — Regtech: The Backbone of the Digital Economy
Donovan Rolle is a first year MBA student at the Darden School of Business, focused on venture capital, strategy, and social impact. Passionate about equity and empowerment, he aims to invest in diverse founders and expand opportunities in health and wellness, the future of work, and fintech.
Outside of class, Donovan serves as a Due Diligence Associate for an angel investor group, conducting market research and evaluating early stage companies. To deepen his expertise, he has also been conducting independent industry research while building his network and attending industry events.
Previously, Donovan was an Executive Strategy and Human Capital Consultant at Deloitte, where he led change management initiatives, supported business development, and spearheaded DEI recruiting efforts. His experience across startups, small businesses, sports, and retail provides him with a broad perspective on business challenges and growth strategies.
A former Division 1 football player and coach at UVA, Donovan understands resilience, teamwork, and leadership, qualities he aims to bring into venture capital. He remains committed to mentorship, volunteering, and initiatives that uplift underserved communities.
Donovan holds a BA in Public Policy and Leadership from UVA. Growing up in diverse communities, he witnessed disparities in access to opportunities, fueling his mission to close achievement and opportunity gaps while driving impact through investment and innovation.
Donovan joined Bronze Valley as a Summer Associate in 2025 through the HBCUvc VC Training and Internship Program.
