Maximilian Sanders — The Next Great SaaS Company Will Be AI-First and Industry-Deep
Maximilian Sanders is a 2019 graduate of Morehouse College, where he majored in finance and graduated Magna Cum Laude and Beta Gamma Sigma. After graduation, Max worked at Goldman Sachs, in the Alternative Investment Group, allocating capital to tech focused hedge funds, eventually transitioning to the Fundamental Equity Group, where he invested in high growth digital internet, AI, application software, infrastructure software, and semiconductor companies. After Goldman Sachs, Max transitioned to ICV Partners, a middle market PE firm, where he closed one platform investment and served as a board observer to a technology advisory firm. He also previously interned at Harlem Capital Partners and has worked with BLCKVC, a non-profit focused on curating community for underrepresented investors nationwide.
In his free time, Max volunteers with Junior Achievement’s Student Managed Investment Fund, teaching high school students in Miami the fundamentals of finance and economics. He also founded Maroon Tiger Capital Management, a non-profit hedge fund that invests in social media, advertising technology, enterprise software, cloud computing, cybersecurity, and semiconductor companies. All returns from Maroon Tiger Capital Management are used to offer Morehouse Students merit and need based scholarships.
Max joined Goodie Nation as a Summer Associate in 2025 through the HBCUvc VC Training and Internship Program.
