Semilore Olatunde -- The Future of Care is Local

Semilore Olatunde is an MBA candidate at Harvard Business School, with interests in venture capital, impact investing, and economic development. He is a former McKinsey & Company consultant with experience in healthcare, life sciences, and economic research. He also served as a Fellow at the McKinsey Global Institute, where he developed and published fact-based economic research to inform policy and management decisions.
A proud Howard University graduate with degrees in Biology and Economics, Semilore is passionate about leveraging capital to drive systemic change, particularly in healthcare, financial inclusion, and technology-driven solutions. At McKinsey, he worked on strategic projects for healthcare and pharma clients while also leading coaching initiatives for HBCU students, reinforcing his commitment to mentorship and equitable access to opportunity.
His passion for investing in underrepresented founders has led him to explore early-stage VC through MIINT - an impact investing network - and the HBS Africa Business Conference New Venture Competition, where he engages with investors, entrepreneurs, and thought leaders.
Outside of work, he enjoys travel, volunteering, and music. Through HBCUvc, he hopes to refine his investment acumen, expand his VC network, and help increase access to funding for diverse founders.

Semilore joined Collab Capital as a Summer Associate in summer 2025 through the HBCUvc VC Training & Internship program.
